The sheriff does not post how long released profiles stay online, so request the record if the person has dropped off. A person who is not found may have bonded out, moved to state prison, been released by court order, or be held under a confidential or sealed matter.

The sheriff posts a visiting window of 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM in half-hour blocks. The day-of-week part is listed differently in different places, with one section saying Monday through Saturday and another saying Monday through Sunday, so confirm the day before you schedule. You can put money on an inmate's account three ways. A reverse ATM in the main lobby takes cash and credit cards. You can deposit online at commissarydeposit.com. Or you can mail a money order directly to the facility, with the envelope marked "MONEY ORDER" and nothing else inside. Do not send cash, checks, or money orders to the Greensboro mail center. Weekly limits cap commissary at $100 and phone time at $35, and the sheriff does not refund unused phone time once it is bought.

Booking and Intake at the DeSoto County Jail

Booking starts the moment an arrest moves indoors. An arrest can happen at the scene or on a warrant the court issues after a sworn complaint.
